Cam graduated from Lindenwood College (now a university) in St. Charles, MO, with a B.A. degree in Fine Art and a minor in Education. She taught art for six years in Missori, in two public school systems. After moving to Colorado, she taught art in the Jefferson County District for ten years. She did graduate work in art at CU in Boulder, and also DU. She has taught adult classes in drawing and watercolor at the Apex Community Center in Arvada.
Cam has also worked part time as a custom decorator and enjoyed painting murals and doing stenciling designs on walls. Watercolor is her preferred medium, although she occasionally works with acrylics. She has painted three large fiberglass cats for auctions to raise funds for the Cat Care Society in Lakewood. They were part of the "Tails of the Painted Cats," which is an annual event. It was an interesting and exciting project.
Cam is a member of the Denver Art Museum, the Denver Metro Art Club, Foothills Art Center, the Lakewood Coucil of art, and, of course, the Wheat Ridge Art League.
