About the Wheat Ridge Art League

The Wheat Ridge Art League was founded in 1974 with the following purposes:

  • To pursue the study of fine art
  • To encourage originality
  • To provide members with the opportunity to obtain public recognition

Today there are 40 members who gather at monthly meetings to provide support and encouragement to each other. We continue to learn from one another and also from the excellent demonstrations conducted by experienced local artists at each meeting. In addition, the League sponsors several workshops each year, also conducted by popular local artists using a variety of mediums.

New artists are welcome. All levels of expertise are represented: from beginners to accomplished painters.
